Zombie Land analysis.

Throughout each shot of this short title sequence, you see the cast and crews names who took part in the film in red. I believe that the text is in red because red related o blood and horror and this could give away the genre of the movie.

During each shot when the title sequence is shown it shows a different zombie attacking different members of the public. This proves that the film will be about zombies, or a zombie attack.

The opening title sequence starts with a car crashing into another car and shows a female getting thrown through the window screen. This Is all done in one shot and it taken from a low angle, it is taken from this angle to show the impact of the fall.

The next shot is when the Metallica music starts to play. This music goes with the scene that is playing in the background where a man has jumped off the side of a building trying to get away from what appears to be zombie. This shot is a worm’s eye view shot this shot is used because it shows the height of which the building is and shows you the actors facial expression where you can clearly see a man in an orange jumpsuit covered in blood. When the man is falling he falls into the production and distribution companies’ text which then scatters around making the viewer believe that he has fallen into this text. This is done in nearly every single shot.

This shot gives the audience an idea of what could be going on. The effects used in these shot are good because the makeup makes the whole scene seem believable.

AS Media Studies Continuity Piece

This is my groups Continuity Piece, i found this task very interesting but also complex. We had to add in specific shots including the match on action shot, and shot reverse shot. Before we could start the task we had to make storyboards, this would help us in the long run when we started to shoot so we knew exactly what we had to do. Coming up with the idea for the continuity piece was easy but drawing the storyboards was tricky because we had to get the shots drawn out on the paper. After the storyboards we started to film. This was a tricky task as when we was doing certain shots we had to look serious and try and give no facial expression but this is a hard task when filming. Starring and filming some of the shots was a fun task as i got to learn how to make my skills in camera work better by setting up the camera in this right position. Editing this piece was fun but also a time consuming job, getting the match on action shot was tricky as i tried to get the shot as perfect as possible.
